My staff spends hours each day contacting insurance companies to verify coverage. Will my staff still have that responsibility?
| A: | No,
Ascend SpecialtyRx will handle the insurance
investigation for your patients’ medications, and keep you and your patients informed. |
Q:
Are there Enrollment or Prior Authorization forms I should complete and send along
with the prescription?
| A: | Yes.
To expedite the processing of an order that might require a Prior Authorization,

with the prescription(s). |

When should a patient’s
prescription be submitted to Ascend SpecialtyRx?
| A: | The
patient’s medication will be delivered prior to their treatment start date. So that

confirm all necessary insurance paperwork, we suggest that the prescription be submitted
as soon as it is available from their physician’s office. |

| A: | Our pharmacists are available 24 hours a day for
emergencies and can respond to your call any time of the day or night.
During non-business hours, a caller will hear a message instructing
them to call a pager number and a pharmacist will return the call.
Please leave a number that allows us to ensure prompt response.

by overnight courier in insulated packages meeting manufacturer standards. |
Q: Why would I recommend
my patients use a specialty pharmacy instead of their local pharmacy where they
have been going for years?
| A: | Many injectable drug therapies
are highly specialized, can be very expensive, require specialized pharmacy services
and are not typically available at local retail pharmacies.
At Ascend SpecialtyRx, our
staff is highly trained and experienced in helping manage these therapies. |
